The Role:

Due to growth within UK programmes, we will need talented Software Engineers throughout 2024…

You will be responsible for contributing to a multidisciplinary team in the analysis of problems, solution work-up, and delivery of software as required across a wide range of applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigation into potential problems in various systems
  • Develop software requirements
  • Contribute to architecture and design baselines
  • Develop software solutions/recommendations and implement these
  • Change and release management
  • Technical risk and opportunity management
  • Liaise with other disciplines (e.g., Systems Engineering and Formal Test) as well as management and team leadership
  • Create software test plans and execute tests
  • Adherence to all relevant software standards

Required Skills:

  • Experience delivering real-time and/or safety-related software
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., TAL, C, C++)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, TACL)
  • Experience in systems engineering, software development, integration, and testing
  • Knowledge of configuration management within a software engineering environment
  • Experience across the complete project lifecycle from bid to operational delivery
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide clear technical direction
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with team and stakeholders
  • Strong time management and organizational skills

Clearance Requirements:

  • Clearance to Start BPSS
  • Clearance for Role SC
  • Willingness to undergo SC or DV clearance depending on security requirements
