About The Role

As a Software Engineer at TRI, you will work in a growing engineering team focusing on designing, building, and maintaining TRI’s web and software applications supporting clinical trials. You will support, mentor, and coach junior team members.

We follow an Agile development approach, collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Test teams to understand requirements, strategies, and testing implications. You will work with the Lead Software Engineer, Product Owner, and other engineers to estimate effort and time for User and Tech Stories.

Your engineering skills will be used to design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure applications. You should stay updated with the latest technologies and contribute new ideas.

A key part of your role is mentoring junior engineers, sharing your skills to foster team development.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Quick learner and collaborator within a geographically distributed team.
  • Always seeking to learn and improve.
  • Positive, open-minded, flexible, adaptable.
  • Passionate about writing clean, maintainable code.
Technical Experience (not exclusive)
  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role, with 2+ years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of backend languages, especially .NET and C#.
  • Experience with frontend languages, notably React and TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Experience with APIs, particularly RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
  • Intermediate knowledge of relational databases (SQL) and document databases (MongoDB, Cosmos DB, etc.).
  • Understanding of SOA and Microservice architectures.
  • Knowledge of containerization systems like Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks and tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Proficient with Git repositories and commands.
