Certain Advantage are proud to be supporting an innovative Maritime Technology client in recruiting for a Software Engineer to join their small team in Hampshire (near Sandhurst).
The salary range is £35 - £45k basic with attractive benefits
You'll be joining a successful business whose leadership team brings decades of experience in developing and delivering technical solutions in maritime, government and defence sectors. You'll be developing and implementing features for their cutting-edge products that provide underwater monitoring and hi-res imaging capability for the purpose of improving maritime safety and ensuring integrity of undersea assets.
The role
This is a great opportunity to get involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle; requirements definition, detailed design, coding, documentation, integration, and validation on target the hardware.
You'll be tasked with further improving the quality of the current code base, implementing new features for existing platform and introduce new components within the existing architecture.
We're looking for candidates who will be motivated to use best-practice software development procedures and methodologies, are driven to produce high quality code and documentation, and have the ability to learn quickly and adapt to the technology stack and development processes.
We're looking for Graduate Engineers in a related subject (e.g. Software Engineering, Engineering or Physics), with a good understanding and experience of the following languages, technologies and frameworks:
Prior experience in the following would be desirable and should be highlighted in your application; WPF and/or Windows Forms, ASP.NET with Blazor, and 3D Graphics Engines (OpenGL/WebGL or similar).
Experience with Microservices and REST interfaces, or Intel Integrated Performance Primitives Libraries (Intel IPP) is also desirable.
