Are you a Java or C# programmer with experience in building high-volume, high-performance applications? If so, this could be the opportunity for you.

The PHOENIX Group is a leading pharmaceutical wholesaler and retailer in Europe, with UK headquarters in Runcorn, Cheshire. We support a network of 14 distribution depots, over 500 retail pharmacies, and a team of over 6,000 staff nationwide.

We are undergoing major strategic changes, with a focus on our Digital Program, which aims to enhance the link between digital technology and community pharmacy. We recently acquired a digital prescription platform, which is highly rated by users. Our vision is to evolve this product into a comprehensive pharmacy and health app.

We are looking to expand our software engineering team. You will work in an agile environment alongside product managers, researchers, and designers, using modern practices like TDD, pair programming, and CI/CD. Your responsibilities will include coding, platform building, architectural contributions, and supporting best practices. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for coaching and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

This is a full-time role, primarily based at our UK headquarters in Runcorn, with flexible working arrangements and support for remote work.
