Job summary

A leading technology company is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Newcastle office. You will develop and maintain high-quality technical solutions using Ruby on Rails. Experience with JavaScript and AWS cloud is advantageous. The role allows for hybrid working, supporting millions of businesses globally with innovative technology.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with Ruby on Rails is a necessity.
  • Any background with Javascript would be advantageous.
  • Cloud experience (ideally with AWS).
  • Hands-on expertise with NewRelic / Jira would be nice-to-have.
  • Ideally you will have worked with Git Version Control previously.
  • Have the ability to operate self-sufficiently.
  • Be collaborative, and have experience working cross-functionally.

Job Description Joining Sage as a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining Sage products to enable delivery of Sage’s business plans and long term objectives. This position will contribute to the development and delivery of high quality products and services that exceed customers’ expectations.

*** This is a hybrid role - you will work 3 days a week from our Newcastle office. ***

• Ensures all tasks are completed to the required quality standards. Keep up to date with relevant technology areas.

Requirements:

• Experience working with Ruby on Rails is a necessity.
• Any background with Javascript would be advantageous for this role.
