Job summary

Maxwell Bond is partnering with a growing financial services organisation in Manchester to strengthen its technology function by bringing development in-house. This is a hands-on role where you take ownership of a business‑critical .NET platform and help shape the future of the technology stack.

You will migrate and consolidate systems into a secure Azure environment, work with internal and external stakeholders, and drive improvements in architecture, code quality and development practices.

Qualifications

• Strong backend experience in .NET and C# with hands-on development.
• Experience with SQL databases and Azure environments.
• Ability to own features and communicate with non-technical stakeholders.

This is a hands‑on opportunity to take ownership of key systems, contribute to a wider technology transformation and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll do as a Software Engineer:

• Take ownership of a business‑critical .NET platform, designing, building and supporting core systems.
• Help drive the migration and consolidation of existing systems into a secure, modern Azure environment.
• Work closely with stakeholders and development partners to deliver new functionality while improving code quality, architecture and development practices.

What we're looking for:

• Strong backend experience in .NET & C# (Frontend exposure is advantageous but not essential).
• Proven experience across SQL databases and Azure environments.
• Someone who takes ownership, communicates well with non‑technical stakeholders and is comfortable working across both technical and business areas.
