Job Description:

As a Software Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the quality, integrity, and reliability of our software products. Your independent assurance work will support the delivery of safe, secure, and high-performance systems used in critical global environments.

Your Impact

  • Provide independentsoftware assurancesupport to the development, verification, validation and release of software, verifying it is in accordance with the contracted and company standards.
  • Create and maintainsoftware quality assuranceplans in accordance with contractual conditions and company standards.
  • Estimatesoftware quality assuranceresources required to support projects.
  • Supporting the assessment of the ability of subcontracted companies to perform software development to required standards.
  • Assess projects for compliance with software development plans and processes.
  • Participate in software maturity reviews and lifecycle reviews.
  • Performing software conformity reviews and supporting physical/functional configuration audits.
  • Verify the release of deliverable software.

What you’ll bring:

  • Comprehensive understanding of quality management systems and standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
  • Experience of working in a high-tech engineering & manufacturing environment, ideally within the aerospace and defence sector,
  • Experience in internal quality auditing,
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to influence others at all levels of an organisation.

Please note: this is not a software development role — we are looking for someone with a strong understanding of software processes to provide independent assurance and quality oversight.
