Job description

Software Engineer

Contract onsite in London. Day rate: £550 - £675 per day inside IR35.

We're currently seeking an accomplished and highly ambitious Software Engineer to work with our exceptional client, a world-class brand, in a secure environment to drive major business transformation, process, and technical change across this complex organization.

This contract role requires security clearance prior to assignment. The Software Engineer role is conducted in an environment that is far from ordinary; therefore, we're not looking for ordinary candidates.

Responsibilities:
  1. Full-stack engineer (front-end/back-end/deployment)
  2. Contributing to the evolution of Digital Communications Platforms (intranet and public website)
  3. Delivering and integrating software applications to form a complete service, enabling the decommissioning of legacy systems, migrating to Cloud infrastructure, and deploying Commercial Off-The-Shelf products
  4. Planning and leading development on sets of related stories
  5. Collaborating with other disciplines to understand requirements and developing an understanding of the whole system
  6. Operating the production services built, with a focus on improving system robustness, resilience, and stability
Skills required:
  • Web development (JavaScript, React, Node, HTML)
  • AWS
  • Version control systems (e.g., Atlassian, GitLab)
  • Experience with SharePoint, Drupal, and/or MATOMO is advantageous but not essential.
