Responsibilities

1. Organise the maintenance of EvolutionPlatform components and tools by contributing towards the creation of designs on services (e.g., network, security, storage, compute) produced in line with design standards.
2. Contribute to automation and orchestration capabilities across the environment and establish processes and procedures that promote efficiency.
3. Collaborate with OSS, enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and cyber security teams to assist in implementing an effective product roadmap.
4. Lead the implementation of enhanced network monitoring technology aligned with customer requirements and Gemini Evolution strategic direction.
5. Organise material and data for documentation, knowledge transfer, and training to successfully land new solutions into Gemini Evolution.
6. Maintain strong awareness of and adherence to TSA and BT commitments.
7. Ensure customers are kept informed throughout the lifecycle of any implementation work undertaken.
8. Collaborate with teams across the business, adhering to policy, regulatory requirements, and standards of best practice.
9. Support GemEvo leadership initiatives.
10. Propose and implement improvements to working processes within Gemini Evolution, both network and software focused.
11. Coach and support Gemini Evolution colleagues and apprentices.
12. Drive own technical growth, proactively identifying opportunities for career development and supporting others' growth.

Skills Needed

1. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Network Cloud, AWS, or Digital Ocean, including deploying and managing cloud-based applications and services.
2. Ability to design and implement IT infrastructure, including network architecture, server configurations, and tool deployment.
3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and scripting languages like JavaScript or Bash.
4. Experience in planning and creating foundational IT structures to support business operations and growth.
5. Proficiency in delivering computing services such as servers, storage, databases, networking, and analytics for scalable resources and cost savings.
6. Experience in developing automation scripts and tools to streamline IT processes.
7. Practical experience in database administration (SQL, NoSQL) for performance and security.
8. Experience in implementing and managing security measures, including firewalls.
9. Ability to work successfully within a team and independently.
10. Proven track record in managing workload and delivering to customer requirements.
11. Effective stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills.
12. Recognition as a coach and mentor.
