Mimecast is seeking a Software Engineer in the Data Platform team to build scalable microservices on AWS and drive reliable data flows for AI-powered cybersecurity insights.

You will mentor junior engineers, document architectures, and participate in incident response while improving scalability and cost efficiency to support fast AI/ML analytics across the platform.

Competenze

• Experience with Java development to build services and libraries with Java 21 and above.
• Hands-on experience with foundational AWS services (ALB, ECS, S3, ElastiCache, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Experience in developing and supporting backend systems for data processing within AWS.
• Knowledge of implementing and maintaining Kafka-based event-driven services.
• Knowledge of Jenkins and developing CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstratable ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, mentoring junior team members and contributing to a positive team culture.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in either relational or NoSQL databases, with an understanding of database design, optimization, and management.
• Champion AI-powered development tools across the full engineering lifecycle with an AI-First engineering mindset.
