Job summary

CFC in London is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build and support applications across the full software development lifecycle. You’ll work on cloud-native services using Angular and .NET/.NET Core within a collaborative, product-led environment.

You will design, develop and maintain solutions, contribute to code reviews and testing, and help drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced tech platform.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building software in an agile environment.
• Strong knowledge of .NET/.NET Core and ASP.NET for web apps.
• Experience with Angular or equivalent front-end frameworks.
• Experience deploying to cloud environments, ideally Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Understanding of software design principles and modern engineering practices.
• Experience with testing frameworks, automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Entity Framework and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

We're seeking a Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. Working in a collaborative, product-led environment, you'll help design, build and support the applications and services that underpin CFC's technology platform.

About the role

• Design, develop and maintain applications using Angular and .NET/.NET Core technologies.


• Build and enhance cloud-native services within Microsoft Azure.


• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from discovery and design through to deployment and support.


• Collaborate with Product Owners, engineers and technical leads to deliver high-quality solutions aligned to business priorities.


• Investigate and resolve production issues to ensure platform stability, performance and reliability.


• Participate in agile delivery practices including refinement, sprint planning and retrospectives.


• Contribute to code reviews, pair programming and engineering best practices across the team.


• Support the development of scalable, maintainable and secure solutions through strong testing and automation practices.


• Contribute to solution design discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.


• Utilise AI-assisted development tools responsibly while maintaining ownership of quality, security and technical outcomes.

• Experience developing and supporting software solutions within an agile environment.


• Strong knowledge of .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET and modern web application development.


• Experience with Angular or similar front-end frameworks.


• Experience working within cloud environments, ideally Microsoft Azure.


• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL and data-driven application development.


• Understanding of software design principles, development best practices and modern engineering approaches.


• Experience with testing frameworks, automation and CI/CD practices.


• Familiarity with tools such as Entity Framework and Test-Driven Development (TDD).


• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.


• The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
