Job summary

CFC is seeking a Skills Development Partner to shape and deliver the skills strategy that powers our growth. You’ll partner with senior leaders to identify critical capabilities, build career pathways and evolve our job architecture to support internal mobility.

Using data and insight, you’ll measure impact, guide investment and embed frameworks across development initiatives, ensuring practical learning experiences that drive measurable business value.

Qualifications

  • Experience in skills development or organisational development within a commercial environment.
  • Proven ability embedding skills frameworks and career pathways.
  • Experience using data to inform decisions and measure impact.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders to translate skills needs into development solutions.
  • Track record delivering initiatives that improve performance and growth.

About you

We're looking for someone who combines expertise in skills development with a commercial mindset, helping the business build the skills needed for future success.

You’ll likely bring:
  • Experience in skills development, organisational development, career frameworks or job architecture within a commercial environment.
  • Proven experience developing and embedding skills frameworks, career pathways or job architecture.
  • Experience using skills and development data to identify priorities, inform decisions and measure impact.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders to understand future skills requirements and translate them into practical development solutions.
  • A track record of delivering initiatives that strengthen performance and support business growth.
  • Commercial judgement and an understanding of how skills development contributes to business outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively.
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, ideally within financial services, insurance, a private equity-backed business or a similarly complex commercial organisation.
Nice to Have
  • Experience building enterprise-wide skills frameworks, career pathways or progression models.
  • Experience supporting organisational change, business transformation or job architecture initiatives.
  • Experience within speciality insurance, financial services or another highly regulated environment.
