Job summary

Corevia Search is hiring a Software Engineer for a high-growth AI company, offering remote-first work in the UK with only two London visits per month. You will work on a production backend stack, primarily in Go, and contribute to scalable systems with a fast-paced team.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in software engineering, strong backend skills (Go, or Rust/Java), and hands-on experience with messaging platforms like Kafka, Pub/Sub, or RabbitMQ.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend skills in Go, or Rust/Java with interest in moving to Go.
• Experience with messaging or streaming tools such as Kafka, Google Pub/Sub or RabbitMQ.
• Experience building and supporting production systems.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building and shipping backend services, mainly in Go.
• Building event-driven services on messaging platforms such as Kafka.
• Improving performance, reliability and observability across live systems.
• Taking part in code reviews, design discussions and technical planning.
• Debugging production issues and fixing them at the root.
• Working closely with product and senior engineers to deliver features end to end.

What you'll work on

You'll join a product engineering team building and running backend services in production. Your work will include:
