Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Snowflake Data/Platform Engineer to join a market insights organisation in London or Sutton. Hybrid work with two days in the office per week. The role focuses on delivering cross-functional software and data solutions and contributing to project planning and development methodologies.

You will work with Snowflake, Python, SQL, AI, .NET, and data modelling to support the Data Lakehouse platform and maintain high-quality data engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Strong Snowflake experience; admin of a Snowflake account.
• Proficiency in Python for data and software tasks.
• SQL expertise for data querying and modelling.
• Knowledge of AI to support data-driven insights.
• Experience with .NET development.
• Solid data engineering and data modelling skills.

Contract Length: 12 Months

Location: London or Sutton - 2 days in office per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and review detailed technical specifications for complex system components.
• Collaborate within Agile teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust software and data solutions.
• Apply coding standards, security best practices, and participate in peer code reviews.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues and defects.
• Design, maintain, and evolve complex data models.
• Act as the subject matter expert for the support, maintenance, and enhancement of the Data Lakehouse platform.
