MBDA, a leading defence organization based in Bristol, is seeking a software engineer with strong C++ and systems integration skills to design and implement command and control architectures for next-generation Air Defence Systems. Qualifications

• Strong background in software engineering and its realization.
• Experience with C++ programming.
• Familiarity with software architecture models.
• Collaborative and open approach to development with strong teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of Real Time Multi-Threaded Applications (preferred).
• Experience across the entire software development process (preferred).
• Familiarity with new tools and techniques for process improvement (preferred).
• Experience with Ada (preferred).
• Knowledge of DefStan 00-55, DO-178C or IEC61508 (preferred).
• Understanding MISRA C++ (preferred).

Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong background in software engineering and its realization
• Experience with C++ programming
• Familiarity with software architecture models
• Collaborative and open approach to development with strong teamwork skills
• Knowledge of Real Time Multi-Threaded Applications (preferred but not essential)
• Experience across the entire software development process (preferred but not essential)
• Familiarity with new tools and techniques for process improvement (preferred but not essential)
• Experience with other programming languages such as Ada (preferred but not essential)
• Knowledge of standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C or IEC61508 (preferred but not essential)
• Understanding of restricted coding standards such as MISRA C++ (preferred but not essential)
