Job Purpose

We seek an experienced software engineer to join our Farnborough site, responsible for development and verification activities for the Zephyr HAPS airborne software.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop, verify, and validate complex hardware/software systems with a multidisciplinary team.
  2. Review and validate software requirements to ensure compliance with DO-178C.
  3. Create and review software documentation, including requirements, design, verification, and certification artifacts.
  4. Collaborate with hardware, systems engineering, and quality assurance teams for seamless integration.
  5. Participate in reviews, audits, and safety assessments to ensure high-integrity solutions.
Requirements
  1. Experience in the full software development lifecycle within aerospace or similar regulated industries.
  2. Knowledge of multi-core processors and development environments.
  3. Experience with DO-178 or similar safety-critical standards.
  4. Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages like Python.
  5. Experience with verification, validation processes, and tools for safety-critical software.
  6. Familiarity with configuration management and version control tools.
Additional Skills
  1. Experience with embedded systems, ARP4754, and ARP4761 standards.
  2. Knowledge of static analysis and automated testing tools such as MISRA, LDRA, Vectorcast, or Rapita.
