iO Associates - Software Engineer Role in Defence and National Security

iO Associates is working closely with a leading technology provider in the Defence and National Security space. They are seeking Software Engineers at all levels to join their growing team on a permanent basis. The role follows a hybrid model, with a mix of remote work and onsite collaboration - typically four days a week in Gloucestershire.

Important: Due to the nature of the role and the projects involved, you must be a sole British national with active SC or DV clearance. Candidates eligible and willing to undergo DV vetting will also be considered.

You will play a key role in developing cutting-edge software systems and applications. You may specialise in one area or operate across multiple Software Development disciplines, with a specific focus on the Cyber domain.

Key Requirements

• Proficient in Java and/or C++
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript & React
• Experience developing on Linux
• Knowledge of mocking up and unit testing frameworks such as JUnit 5.x (Jupiter)
• Experienced with Git version control
• Knowledge of Oracle/Relational Databases and/or MongoDB
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD Pipelines
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch and Kibana
• Experience developing software for cloud deployment, specifically AWS
• Experienced in supporting maturation of CI/CD pipelines for Cloud deployments
