Job summary

BT Group is seeking software developers to tackle challenging cyber security problems across frontend, backend and cloud-native platforms in the UK. You will work with experienced engineers to design, implement and improve scalable solutions while maintaining high standards and security considerations.

Applicants should be curious, collaborative, and capable of learning new technologies. A UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is required, and roles span across multiple software domains within BT

Qualifications

• Proficient in software development with strong fundamentals.
• Experience with code reviews and maintaining code quality standards.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence for collaboration and tracking.
• Version control with GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket.

We're growing our engineering teams and recruiting Software Developers at all experience levels to help tackle some of the most interesting challenges in cyber security. Whether you're designing intuitive user interfaces, developing cloud-native applications, building scalable backend services, processing large volumes of data, or working close to the operating system, you'll be creating technology that protects critical systems and makes a genuine difference.

You'll work closely with customers, stakeholders and experienced engineers to turn complex problems into elegant solutions, while helping shape the technology, architecture and direction of our products. Note: This role requires eligibility for UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. As a result, applicants must typically be sole British citizens and have lived in the UK continuously for the previous 10 years, subject to UK Government vetting requirements.
