Job Opportunity: Software Engineer

Up to £65k per annum plus excellent benefits

Stratospherec is recruiting for a world-leading eCommerce digital platform company with main software development teams in Brighton, USA, and across Europe.

The company is expanding one of its core development teams responsible for key parts of their eCommerce platform.

We are seeking a Software Engineer with a preference for back-end development and skills in Python, Java, Golang, Node.js, or similar technologies. This is a mid-level role requiring candidates with over 3 years of commercial software development experience, based in Brighton.

The role involves working 2 days in the Brighton office and 3 days remotely each week. The salary is up to £65k with an excellent benefits package.

The Software Engineer will develop Python server applications within a service-oriented architecture and deploy them to Kubernetes, following innersource principles for code ownership and contribution.

Skills Needed

• Minimum 3 years of commercial software development experience
• Back-end development expertise
• Willingness to learn Python and work in a TDD and OO environment
• Experience managing Git workflows
• Understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Experience with Docker (building and running images)
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team
