I am currently working with a Belfast-based tech start-up. The company has been consistently growing their engineering team over the past 12 months, bringing in talented software engineers from junior to lead levels. They are seeking experienced software developers with expertise in Python for backend development. Python is essential for this role, with additional experience in other backend technologies like .NET being beneficial. Although primarily a backend role, experience with React or other frontend technologies is advantageous. The team works on-site 2-3 days per week, and you will be required to work in the office accordingly.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and services
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features
3. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
4. Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions
5. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing software
6. Stay updated with Python trends, libraries, and frameworks

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of professional experience with Python
• Strong understanding of Python frameworks such as Django or Flask
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservice architectures
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
