As a Software Development Engineer, you will work on high-impact backend services supporting navigation APIs and location-based AI. You’ll contribute to the design, development, and scaling of cloud-based microservices that power real-time location data for millions of users worldwide. Accountabilities:

• Design and build scalable backend services using Python and TypeScript
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute development tasks
• Optimize systems for high availability, low latency, and global performance
• Write unit tests and documentation while ensuring code quality and maintainability
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive operational excellence
• Improve service reliability through monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical debt reduction
• Contribute to a team culture of transparency, innovation, and inclusive collaboration

• 5+ years of experience developing scalable backend systems
• Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and cloud platforms (especially AWS)
• Hands-on experience with tools such as CDK, ECS, Step Functions, Lambda, and S3
• Proficiency with GitHub or similar version control systems
• Ability to work independently and deliver features from design to deployment
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective communicator with a passion for sharing knowledge and mentoring
