Software Development Engineer, CorpFPA GFT

Are you excited about building highly scalable services and infrastructure using AWS technologies? Do you want to conceptualize and build applications from the ground up? Are you interested in being part of GFT's vision to streamline and accelerate decision-making processes for Finance teams across Amazon? If so, this could be the right opportunity for you.

We're seeking a Software Engineer to:
• Drive technology choices
• Lead continuous innovation
• Shape the future of our software applications
• Build services enabling Finance teams to access information efficiently
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Product Managers, UX designers, and Front-end Engineers
• Lead the design and development of next-generation AI software applications

This role offers the opportunity to own automation products leveraging cutting-edge AI from inception.


Key job responsibilities
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Design scalable and fault-tolerant platform components for full-stack applications
• Write clean, maintainable code and conduct peer code reviews
• Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams
• Investigate design approaches and prototype new technologies
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Establish architectural principles and select design patterns with AI solutions
• Define and implement standards promoting Operational Excellence (OE)

• Design and implement system components
• Review designs and code to enhance team quality standards
• Support operational excellence initiatives
• Participate in team collaboration and knowledge sharing

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
