The network involves complex pathways connecting vendor locations, Amazon warehouses, and customer destinations, with multiple intermediate stops. Handling millions of packages with diverse attributes and delivery needs results in a highly dense graph of nodes.

We have established a respected software engineering team focused on solving complex transportation challenges using workflows, optimization algorithms, and machine learning systems. These large-scale distributed systems manage the shipment of millions of packages through Amazon's logistics network.

As an SDE in our team, you will be responsible for designing flexible and scalable solutions to some of the most complex challenges in large-scale computing, utilizing your skills in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship)
• 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scalability (non-internship)
• Experience programming with at least one software language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
