Job Description:

As a Software Development Engineer, you will work with a team of talented engineers to build low-latency solutions for frontend, middle tier, and backend, as well as identify and evaluate new technology options for the challenges we are trying to solve. You will work with a variety of core languages, microservices, and technologies including Java, DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS, SNS, and many other AWS services. We are looking for a smart engineer who can effectively deal with ambiguity and work independently to clarify requirements, build prototypes, and deliver results quickly. About the team:
The Fuse tech team is an innovative and high-energy team working on Amazon Fuse, a wholesale subscription service that enables third-party enterprises with billing and distribution capabilities. Fuse provides a one-stop integration point for service teams (e.g., Prime, Music, Video, and more) to offer their subscription services through top global partners, collectively serving over 4 billion consumers. While we leverage existing Amazon systems when possible, you’ll be tackling challenging problems that require innovative solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design
• Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems
• Experience building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers
• Experience (non-internship) in professional software development

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
