AMG Chrome, a global leader in the production of specialty metals, is offering an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our team as a Software Development Apprentice. In partnership with Baltic Apprenticeships, this hands-on program is designed to help you gain real-world experience while earning industry-recognised qualifications.

    At AMG Chrome, innovation is at the core of everything we do. As part of our IT team, you’ll be working on meaningful projects that support our operations, improve efficiency, and drive digital transformation across the business.

    A Typical Day in the Job:

    • Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve bugs, write clean fixes and contribute to improving legacy code
    • Communicate with internal employees through Teams, email and Phone and Face to Face where possible.
    • Maintain and support our existing Oracle based applications
    • Contributing to new projects which will help modernise our technology stack
    • Write and maintain database queries and reports
    • Carry out routine support i.e. Password resets, installs and upgrades.
    • Work collaboratively with internal users to understand requirements and deliver solutions
    • Ad hoc support the internal Bespoke systems

    F ull training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

    Salary, Hours&Benefits:

    • £19,000 per annum
    • Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm or 8am – 4pm
