Software Developer - Java | UK

Intermedia is seeking a talented and energetic Java Developer with experience in deploying and building microservices to join our team. You will work on applications and tools supporting a fast-growing UCaaS company, specifically within the Voice team, enhancing our SaaS VoIP product and its OSS/BSS components. Your role will involve solving technical challenges and developing impactful solutions.

What you will be doing:

1. Leading a Green Field project to migrate functionalities from legacy systems to a new Microservices architecture: designing, documenting, developing, and maintaining the new system.
2. Coordinating with Quality Engineering (QE) on testing strategies and CI pipelines.
3. Collaborating with DevOps to establish Continuous Deployment and Observability.
4. Contributing to system design and architecture decisions.

What you will bring to the role:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Software Developer with Java 11+ and Spring/Spring Boot frameworks.
• Experience developing Web Services with REST and SOAP.
• Proficiency with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with containerization tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments.
• Strong knowledge of Git version control systems.
• Hands-on experience writing clean, testable code and unit testing.
• Ability to understand and review other developers' code.
• Good analytical skills and excellent communication skills in English.
• Proactive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Desired Qualifications:

• Understanding of Microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Knowledge of Kafka or other distributed streaming systems.
• Experience with NoSQL technologies.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
