The Scale Factory is seeking a Software Developer in Test to design, build, and implement cutting-edge automation frameworks for client projects in a hybrid London-area setting.

You will contribute to QA strategies, influence testing practices, and play a client-facing role to ensure solutions align with business needs. The role suits developers with Agile experience and hands-on testing in Java/C#/JavaScript ecosystems, plus CI/CD familiarity.

Qualifications

• Eligibility for Security Clearance.
• Experience in Agile environments (SCRUM/Kanban).
• Coding skills in Java, C#, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Automation testing expertise with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or RestAssured.
• Knowledge of integration testing and automation frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Eligibility for Security Clearance
• Experience in Agile environments (e.g., SCRUM, Kanban)
• A technical development background with coding skills in Java, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar
• Expertise in automation testing, with hands-on experience using tools like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or RestAssured
• Knowledge of integration testing and automation frameworks
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Bonus Points for:

• Previous experience in a consultancy environment
• Hands-on coding experience in additional languages like Python, Ruby, Scala, PHP, or C++
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter, Gatling, K6 or Neoload
