Job summary

CPI Card Group is seeking a talented Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable web and mobile solutions using Python and AWS in a remote-first setup in the United Kingdom.

You will work across the full development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to AI-assisted workflows while ensuring security and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python frameworks (Flask, Django, FastAPI).
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS).
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
• Experience working in regulated environments (financial services).

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help design and deliver scalable web and mobile solutions that drive modern financial services, working across the full development lifecycle—from concept through deployment—using Python and AWS in a remote-first environment.

As part of our AI-enabled engineering culture, you’ll leverage tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude to accelerate delivery, enhance code quality, and solve complex challenges more efficiently.

Qualifications

Solid working knowledge of most of the following:

• Experience with Python frameworks (e.g. Flask, Django, FastAPI)
• Strong working knowledge of AWS services (e.g. Lambda, S3, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)

Requirements

• B.S. or MS Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
