The Role

You will develop innovative developer tools to help Slice’s developers build and deploy high-quality software more efficiently. You’ll enhance our infrastructure platform to support company growth, primarily using Python to create CLI tools and web applications that integrate with our Kubernetes-based infrastructure. Collaboration with developers and stakeholders is essential to deliver high-quality tools that streamline their workflows.

We welcome candidates of all experience levels; however, we are currently considering applicants with at least two years of professional industry experience. During the interview process, we will evaluate your skills and determine the best fit for the role.

The Team

You will join a dynamic team of 6-10 software and infrastructure developers focused on maintaining a reliable infrastructure platform and building robust developer tools. Our team, distributed across North America, the UK, and Eastern Europe, values quick iteration, innovation, and a strong culture of collaboration and code quality.

We seek creative, entrepreneurial developers excited to build world-class infrastructure and tooling for a growing development team.

Core Competencies

• Proven experience with backend technologies such as Python, Go, or Ruby, including automated testing.
• Interest in infrastructure technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and Docker.
• Comfortable working remotely and asynchronously across time zones and cultures.
• Ability to clearly communicate opinions on development processes and tools while respecting peers.
