Job Opportunity: Software Developer at RAC

RAC has an exciting and unique opportunity for a Software Developer with strong analytical skills and experience in using Crystal Reports Software to join our IT Team on a permanent basis. This role offers a flexible hybrid working model, with three days from home and two days at our Bradley Stoke office in Bristol.

In this role, you will collaborate with the business to create and maintain fulfilment correspondence such as Policy Schedules, New Business packs, and other customer communications.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Crystal Report environment, creating views from critical databases to support business needs.
• Interrogate Relational Databases (specifically Oracle 11g) to meet business requirements.
• Lead fulfilment creation work streams on business and IT projects.
• Understand the fulfilment process involving third-party suppliers.
• Mentor new team members and manage stakeholders effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain and update fulfilment processes as subject matter expert.

Requirements

• Experience in PL/SQL and Crystal Reports.
• Proficiency with Oracle 11g, including writing views, queries, and maintaining data.
• Strong testing skills with clear documentation of results.
• Experience leading or managing teams and motivating others.
• Track record of delivering results in a change environment.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work to deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
