Job Summary

Anord Mardix, a Flex company, is a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings, ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world’s largest companies.

The Software Developer will be responsible for crafting high-quality solutions, maintaining the entire suite of applications created by the IMS Software Development team. This includes developing new modules, addressing functionality gaps, and leveraging the latest technologies. The candidate will also support current users by performing routine tasks in production and updating online wiki pages. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced developer eager to impact and enhance a best-in-class application suite.

What a typical day looks like:
  1. Collaborate on solution design specifications for the IMS platform, identifying innovative approaches to meet business requirements while upholding robust and reliable standards.

  2. Provide domain-specific knowledge and technical expertise within a supportive and innovative environment.

  3. Support our growing user base effectively.

  4. Visit customer sites to install and commission IMS implementations (occasionally).

  5. Partner with external customers to develop specifications for product enhancements.

  6. Follow agile methodologies and utilize Scrum in projects.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

  • Over 5 years of professional software development experience.

  • Expertise in full-stack development using the latest .NET Core frameworks.

  • Proficiency in creating dynamic, responsive front-end API designs and integrations with ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript/jQuery, AJAX, HTML5, Bootstrap, and SQL-based databases like Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL.

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and SOLID principles.

  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing frameworks.

  • User-focused and empathetic, understanding customer challenges and product usage.

  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies and modern development patterns.

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering scalable, highly available cloud-based systems.
