Job summary

IMServ Europe Ltd is seeking a Software Developer to join our Scrum teams in Milton Keynes, working with Azure and C# to deliver high-quality software. You will own code throughout the product lifecycle, write unit tests, and collaborate with testers to ensure quality.

You will be part of a collaborative team, participate in sprint ceremonies, and contribute to API and database development using Azure DevOps and SQL. A strong emphasis on clean design and continuous learning is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of C# as primary language.
• Strong appreciation for object-oriented design and quality code.
• Routinely practices TDD and unit-test-first development.
• Experience in Agile SCRUM teams and ceremonies.
• Understands relational databases, tables and stored procedures in SQL.

Responsibilities

• Write code with unit tests and documentation, and resolve bugs.
• Update progress as part of SCRUM processes.
• Be an active member of the Scrum team and Product Engineering community.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and team events.
• Use agreed frameworks to design software and contribute to larger elements.

About the Role

As a Software Developer at IMSERV, you will be part of our Scrum teams, working with colleagues to craft software using modern Azure and C# technologies. This includes creating unit tests, plus working with our Testers to meet our high quality standards. You will own the code throughout the entire product lifecycle, building an understanding of the market intent and tuning our outputs in conjunction with customer usage data to ensure success.

Responsibilities

• Write code and associated unit tests and documentation, plus resolve bugs as needed
• Update on progress as part of our scrum processes
• Be an active member of your Scrum team and the wider Product Engineering community
• Take part in sprint ceremonies, team events and similar activities
• Use agreed technical frameworks to design elements of software and contribute to larger elements as part of your team
• Manage the data required to perform your role, including conversion, test data generation and similar activities
• Design and create relevant MS SQL database elements as needed
• Manage artefacts within Azure DevOps
• Contribute to the Scrum team productively

What you\'ll need

Knowledge and Qualifications

• Has 5+ Years of C# as their primary language
• Strong appreciation for Object Orientation and designing good quality / well-designed code
• Routinely practices TDD and a Unit Test first approach to their development
• Has worked in an Agile SCRUM team and is familiar with the associated ceremonies and artefacts
• Understands and can build or change tables and stored procedures written in SQL (in a Relational Database system)

Experience

• Experience in building APIs with Swagger or Open API
• Has built applications using one or more of the following Azure PaaS Services:
• Written CI/CD, build and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps or YML
• Automated Testing of APIs using, for example, Postman
