Location: Bury (Hybrid – 2 days on-site per week)
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum

VIQU has partnered with a leading organisation to recruit a Software Developer to join their thriving technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development and support of critical business applications within a modern, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all phases of the application development lifecycle, from planning and coding to testing and deployment.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement within applications and development processes.
  • Provide high-quality support for core business applications, ensuring issues and requests are handled promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct live releases of applications with minimal disruption to end users.
  • Participate in an on-call support rota for critical systems.
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and collaborate with business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to code reviews using Git and GitHub, ensuring code quality and consistency.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience with PHP and Laravel framework.
  • Proficiency in working with JSON and relational databases including MySQL and SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative development.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Understanding of Microservices architecture.
