Overall Purpose

Responsibility for all aspects of software development to ensure the delivery of quality solutions to our clients. This includes developing and maintaining our products, ensuring successful delivery through testing, and performing 3rd line support activities.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate on the design and development of high-quality software
• Produce clean and efficient code based on specifications
• Research and design new features
• Resolve bugs and issues
• Conduct unit and integration testing of components under development
• Liaise with customers to understand requirements

General Requirements

This is a business-focused role requiring commercial understanding and good communication skills. Candidates should have skills and experience in developing with the following software packages:

• Java
• HTML/CSS/JavaScript
• SQL

Experience in the following areas will be beneficial:

• Groovy/Grails
• Hibernate
• MVC Frameworks
• Spring Framework
• jQuery
• Bootstrap
• Linux
• Apache Tomcat
• REST/SOAP
• Jira
• Knowledge of accounting systems and payroll
