Software Dev Engineer II, Under The Roof Technology

Would you like to be part of a team that is solving challenging problems for Amazon’s Physical Stores? Are you passionate about delivering new experiences that delight our customers and building highly available and low latency systems that can scale up to ever expanding customer base? We are hiring a strong SDE2 for contributing to the Physical Stores.



Key job responsibilities
· Working collaboratively, shaping the vision and strategy for solving business problems
· Develop an architecture, thinking long term about futuristic needs.
· Mentor, grow, and share the journey to deliver with quality.
· Deep dive, develop and deliver systems that are highly maintainable. Technical leader for the team with the ability to deliver against all odds.
· Data driven approach for making right architecture decisions, managing business priorities

A day in the life
As a software development engineer on this team, you will play a pivotal role in the following:

- Work with the team and stakeholders to help drive business decisions.
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions to drive service optimization, cost, and security.
- Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables
- Write high-quality software
- Work in an agile, startup-like development environment, where you are always working on the most important stuff.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
