Your Impact

The Software Deployment Engineer will be part of the Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) Project team, responsible for designing and deploying software for customized CBM Systems to electrical utilities and industrial clients worldwide.

This role involves collaborating with various internal teams—design, operations, manufacturing—as well as global partners and customers to implement system configurations. Training will be provided in technical and business areas, offering growth opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Support the expansion of Qualitrol's software products to customers.
  • Understand CBM systems and their communication infrastructures.
  • Provide feedback for new features and communicate with product management.
  • Analyze, debug, and support software deployment and commissioning.
  • Develop and test configurations integrating system components.
  • Perform reviews and implement corrective actions for system issues.
  • Ensure customer platform usability through project analysis.
  • Assist field colleagues during system commissioning and post-commissioning.
  • Respond to customer queries and resolve issues via various communication channels.
  • Support regional sales efforts and participate in marketing initiatives.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed.
Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in developing and deploying commercial software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with customer integrations and challenges.
  • Knowledge of protocols like Modbus, 61850, DNP, SOAP.
  • Intermediate TSQL (MS-SQL & SQLite) and basic PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Experience with CAD for 2D drawings and interpreting electrical/mechanical schematics.
  • Knowledge of IEDs, SCADA, CBM systems, and OS configuration from embedded to enterprise levels.
  • Familiarity with sensors, transducers, and communication standards like RS485 and 4-20mA.
  • Proficiency in XML and understanding of networks, security, and cybersecurity principles.
Working Conditions

Environment: Fast-paced office and manufacturing facilities.

  • Occasional outside-of-hours support for international clients may be required.
  • Travel to other Qualitrol locations or customer sites may be necessary.
