Fitch Group is currently seeking a Software Delivery Manager, on a 12-month fixed-term contract based out of our London or Manchester office.

As a delivery manager/delivery lead for BMI, you will be responsible for timely and successful delivery of product milestones, working very closely with the product and technology leads for the team. You will work closely with the product, data science and technology teams to manage dependencies, ensure implementation and adoption of agile practices, and refine best delivery practices.

The data and analytics product squads are newly established to BMI and are also new to the Agile product model, so this is an excellent opportunity to establish good working principles with a highly talented engineering and data science team. We are building market leading products in the macroeconomics and geopolitics space and have an exciting 3-year plan that we are recruiting and expanding a team around. This role would report into the senior product director for this product workstream, and you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the plan.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely, prioritised and successful delivery of projects and products from inception to deployment, translating the outcomes to practical commercial objectives.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Foster a positive and productive team environment, promoting continuous improvement and innovation. Understand team styles and how people work together, to ensure the health of a team and facilitate conflict resolution, accelerating team performance.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Implement and oversee Agile methodologies to enhance project efficiency and team collaboration. Utilize Jira and Confluence for project tracking, documentation, and communication.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status and performance.

You May be a Good Fit if:

  • 3-5 years of experience in B2B and cloud software delivery management
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in implementing and moving development and data science teams to Agile practices.
  • Proficiency in using Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation.
  • Excellent people management and interpersonal skills, enacting change practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Experience with cloud-based data and analytics platforms and familiarity with cloud delivery (across web apps and data APIs)
  • Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master, PMI-ACP)

Why Choose Fitch:

  • Location: for this role, we are open to remote working, or in either our London or Manchester office.
  • A Culture of Learning & Mobility: Dedicated trainings, leadership development and mentorship programs designed to ensure that your time at Fitch will be a continuous learning opportunity
  • Investing in Your Future: Retirement planning, financial wellness and tuition reimbursement programs that empower you to achieve your short and long-term goals
