Job Description

We are seeking a Software Commissioning Test Lead for an onsite contract position in Reading, UK. The role involves supervising commissioning activities, ensuring safety, compliance, and accuracy, with a focus on Siemens PLC and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

1. Review commissioning documentation and Safe System of Work, ensuring adherence by all team members.
2. Work according to approved procedures and coordinate with other teams, including attending site planning meetings.
3. Seek approval and record the application of Temporary Commissioning Aids, raise reservations, and consult with the commissioning manager or engineering support when issues arise.
4. In case of uncertainties or incidents, halt activities, brief involved personnel, and seek guidance or control the situation to ensure safety.

Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Siemens PLC and SCADA systems.
• Experience with control panels, electrical installations, and instrumentation solutions.
• Proven experience in testing and on-site commissioning.
• Excellent H&S awareness; SSSTS or SMSTS certification preferred.
• CSCS card or equivalent is essential.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Plant Historians, Network design and configuration, Cyber Security, Functional Safety.

Note: The successful candidate must obtain SC clearance at the start of the contract.
