Job summary

Stanton House is seeking senior Software Architects/Tech Leads in London to shape AI-powered products and platforms. The role blends hands-on coding with setting technical direction across multiple teams and cloud-native solutions.

You will drive adoption of modern AI technologies, mentor engineers, and collaborates with product, design, and senior stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience.
• Proven delivery of enterprise-scale software products and cloud platforms.
• Hands-on with AI technologies including LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and multi-agent systems.
• Strong cloud experience across AWS and/or Azure.
• Excellent stakeholder management in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture, engineering standards, and technical direction across multiple products and platforms.
• Leading the design and development of scalable cloud-native applications and AI-driven solutions.
• Remaining hands-on with software development, code reviews, technical problem solving, and prototyping.
• Driving adoption of modern AI technologies including LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, and agent-based systems.
• Partnering closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineering teams, and senior stakeholders.
• Conducting technology evaluations, build-vs-buy assessments, and architectural reviews.
• Mentoring engineering teams and promoting engineering best practices across security, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Supporting strategic technical decision-making and helping shape the future technology roadmap.

Software Architect / Tech Lead (AI & Product Innovation) | Contract | London

6-12+ Month Contract with strong chance of conversion to perm

We're partnering with an innovative software and product organisation seeking multiple senior-level Software Architects / Tech Leads to help shape the next generation of AI-powered products and platforms.

This is not a traditional governance-focused architecture role. We're looking for hands-on technical leaders who can define technical direction, drive engineering excellence, and work alongside development teams to deliver scalable AI-enabled solutions.

You'll play a key role in architecting and building new products, evaluating emerging technologies, and driving AI innovation throughout the product development lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing

• Defining architecture, engineering standards, and technical direction across multiple products and platforms
