Net Talent has partnered with a FinTech business that is seeking a Software Architect to assist with the design, development, and implementation of innovative applications to meet the needs of their growing client base.

You should have deep technical expertise in modern technologies and a structured approach to designing and developing critical business applications. This role offers an excellent opportunity to stay hands-on with coding while also making architectural and technical solution decisions.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days onsite, in either the Edinburgh or Glasgow office.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on the overall technical architecture of solutions.
• Stay updated on the latest tools, techniques, and best practices in software engineering and help the team adopt them.
• Create functional, technical, and design documentation as needed.
• Contribute to the firm's technical architect community and influence architectural decisions and principles.

Technical Background

Experience

• Experience working in a DevOps environment supporting and contributing to agile software delivery.
• Exposure to financial modeling, ideally within the investment domain.
• Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into detailed technical and architectural specifications and solutions.
• Strong experience in the architectural design of large-scale web applications.
• Understanding of non-functional requirements like security and scalability.
• Proven success collaborating with client and third-party technical teams.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to senior stakeholders.
