Overview

First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a Landscaping Team Leader on behalf of one of our clients.

You will be responsible for the daily management of maintenance contracts and scheduling work to ensure timely and compliant delivery. The role involves managing teams, coordinating resources, and maintaining client relationships on site.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in building weekly work schedules to meet daily targets.
  2. Distribute daily worksheets and brief teams on tasks.
  3. Motivate and discipline team members through effective communication.
  4. Ensure efficient resource use and timely work completion.
  5. Coordinate tools, equipment, and materials for operatives.
  6. Conduct site visits to monitor quality and adherence to plans.
  7. Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff.
  8. Manage staff attendance, leave, and seasonal planning.
  9. Conduct site audits and operational reviews for contract compliance.
  10. Promote a safe working environment and ensure policies are followed.
  11. Manage budgets to ensure profitability.
  12. Attend management meetings as required.
  13. Ensure staff are trained and competent for their roles.
  14. Review staff performance and handle disciplinary procedures when necessary.
  15. Encourage professional development and upskilling.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Trailer Towing Licence (preferred).
  • Forklift Licence (preferred).
  • Spraying Licence (preferred).
  • Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (preferred).
  • Health and Safety Course (preferred).
  • First Aid at Work Certificate (preferred).

Location: Chichester

Salary: £15 per hour
