Sociology Teacher - Full-Time, Permanent Role

Contract: Permanent

Quantum Scholars are currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Southampton in their search for a qualified and enthusiastic Sociology Teacher to join their team from January 2026. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Sociology lessons to students across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan, prepare and assess student work in line with the national curriculum
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported
  • Develop students' critical thinking, debate, and analytical skills
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum planning and departmental success
  • Participate in school life, including pastoral support and extra-curricular activities
Requirements
  • A degree in Sociology or a related subject
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
