Their Sociology department plays a vital role in broadening students' understanding of social structures, inequalities, and the forces shaping society today. Due to temporary staffing changes, we are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Supply Sociology Teacher to join Academics.

The Role:
As a part-time Supply Sociology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stage 4 and 5. Your role will involve teaching a range of topics within the Sociology curriculum, ensuring that students are encouraged to think critically, develop their analytical skills, and gain a deep understanding of social issues. You will be expected to:

1. Teach Sociology at Key Stage 4 and 5 (GCSE and A-level)
2. Plan and deliver lessons that are interactive and well-structured
3. Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote a positive learning environment
4. Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as required
5. Collaborate with department colleagues to maintain high academic standards
6. Participate in department meetings

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Sociology teacher with:

1. A degree in Sociology (or related subject)
2. Experience teaching Sociology at GCSE and A-level (desirable but not essential)
3. A commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
4. Excellent communication and organisational skills
5. The ability to adapt to different learning styles and differentiate instruction
6. A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach
