About the Role

We are looking for a knowledgeable Sociology Teacher to join an Outstanding girls school in Camden from September. This is a full-time, permanent position. The ideal Sociology Teacher will deliver engaging sociology lessons to Key Stages 4 and 5.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Sociology Teacher lessons, covering core sociological concepts.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
  • Develop students' understanding of sociological principles and analytical skills.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of the sociology curriculum and resources.
  • Organise and lead sociology-related extracurricular activities.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Sociology.
  • Proven experience teaching sociology at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of sociological theory.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Inner London Payscale.
