Location: Sittingbourne Key Stages: KS4 & KS5

Are you a passionate and engaging Sociology teacher looking for a long-term opportunity in a welcoming and inclusive secondary school?

Supply Desk are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and popular secondary school in Sittingbourne, seeking a talented Sociology Teacher (with some Psychology) to join their dedicated Social Sciences department on a full-time basis from September 2025 through to July 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is enthusiastic about delivering thought-provoking, inclusive lessons and who is ready to make a long-term impact on student achievement.

The Role:

• Teach Sociology across KS4 and KS5, with some additional Psychology lessons included.
• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that challenge and inspire students.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic progress and personal growth.
• Maintain excellent standards of behaviour management and student engagement.
• Contribute to the wider school ethos, working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting pastoral development.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Sociology, and ideally some Psychology, to KS4 and KS5 students.
• A genuine passion for Social Sciences and a commitment to student success.
• Strong classroom presence and effective behaviour management strategies.
• Full-time availability from September 2025 to July 2026.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
