Job description

Social Media Manager and Producer required with a strong sense of mischief to manage all social media platforms. Platforms include Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube (longer form content). The role involves supporting a high-profile, provocative artist whose work is topical and current, responding to celebrity and public figures' reactions to news as it happens, with an understanding of icons in political, celebrity, and social news, both current and historical.

The candidate must have a strong sense of mischievousness, provocation, irony, and wit, with an understanding of the importance of imagery and manufactured imagery in today's celebrity media landscape. The candidate should align with the artist's concept, philosophy, and provocative, mischievous nature.

Responsibilities include strategizing around key celebrity and political dates, working in person with the artist to record behind-the-scenes content, interviewing the artist, and creating behind-the-scenes posts. Skills in graphic design to maintain the visual aesthetic of the grid and posts are essential.

The role involves engaging with existing followers, developing the community, activating followers, and promoting upcoming projects such as art gallery shows, events, TV, or theatre productions. Photography, Photoshop, and video editing skills are desirable.

Flexible hours are available, with the potential for full-time employment for the right candidate.
