Duty and Assessment Social Worker in Halton area

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families in the community.

As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, carrying out timely assessments, and ensuring effective service delivery.

This is a full time locum role on ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities:

* Respond promptly to referrals and conduct timely assessments in line with statutory requirements.

* Undertake child protection investigations and risk assessments.

* Collaborate with children, families, and multi-agency professionals to develop and implement robust care plans.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records.

* Attend court proceedings and provide written and verbal evidence as required.

* Promote the safety, well-being, and development of children at all times.

Essential Requirements:

* A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/Diploma in Social Work).

* Current registration with Social Work England.

* Previous experience in a Duty and Assessment or similar frontline social work role.

* A thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

* The ability to work full-time hours (no condensed hours available).
