Job description

Children Safeguarding Social Worker in Kettering, Northamptonshire

This is a full-time locum role on an ongoing basis.

Join a multi-skilled team and be responsible for meeting the assessment, care management, and support needs of children in accordance with the Care Act and relevant policies and procedures.

Some of the duties and responsibilities include:

1. Managing and monitoring a high-need, complex, and challenging caseload of children, families, and carers with a degree of autonomy.
2. Undertaking and devising in-depth and robust assessments, care planning, reviewing activities, and formulating recommendations for support plans.
3. Preparing applications and reports for court, representing the Council in court, and making recommendations and judgments regarding legal actions.
4. Taking responsibility for complex projects or areas of work in agreement with the line manager, recognizing and acting on safeguarding concerns related to children, families, carers, and professionals, and contributing to responses to such concerns.
