Social Worker - Care Management Team in North West England

This is a full time temporary position on ongoing basis.

About the role:

  • Act as the Lead Professional in statutory cases that require a qualified Social Worker, including child protection, care proceedings and looked-after children;
  • Undertake assessment, planning, implementation and review of social work processes alongside children and their families;
  • Bring together a team around the child to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach;
  • Take part in case/practice audits and contribute to peer audit arrangements as required;
  • Maintain timely and accurate records of cases, plans and actions in line with the Divisional policy and procedures;
  • Attend and contribute to case conferences, meetings and court sessions, submitting verbal and written reports as requested;
  • Knowledge of all relevant legislation in order to provide consultation and advice to service users.

About you:

  • Minimum of one years' Post-qualifying experience, with recent experience of working in statutory social work;
  • Experience in undertaking child protection investigations;
  • Knowledge of IOM/UK legislative framework;
  • Able to produce timely and accurate written work;
  • Experience of court proceedings.

Must have a driving license and access to own vehicle.

The client is offering a monthly accommodation allowance of £600 per month.
