Job Title: Locum Social Worker within Support and Safeguarding Team. Location: Salisbury, UK. Type: Ongoing Full-time. This is a Social Worker role in the Support and Safeguarding Team based in Salisbury, Wiltshire, focused on making a positive difference in the lives of children and families.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and lead on Child in Need and Child Protection plans.
  • Support legal processes to secure permanence for children and young people as required.
  • Co-work cases with key workers while maintaining your role as the lead Social Worker.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings with families and professionals with support for minute-taking.
  • Promote family wellbeing by applying a reflective, open, and strength-based approach.
  • Foster professional development with access to supervision and wellbeing services, ensuring you can provide the best support without experiencing secondary trauma.
Requirements
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in social work.
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Substantial frontline experience within UK Social Services, specifically in referral, assessment, and casework.
